Description: Canadian business man falsely accused of attempting to smuggle cocaine into the United States. Mr. Swor's client was facing a minimum mandatory sentence of ten years but was acquitted of all charges.

Outcome: Client acquitted of all charges

Description: Michigan father accused by the state of Michigan of murdering his 11-month old son. His client was acquitted of all charges.

 

United States v. David Stone, et al

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Date: Mar 27, 2012

Outcome: Clients pled to less serious violations

Description: Nine members of the Hutaree militia were charged with Seditious Conspiracy, Conspiracy to Use Weapons of Mass Destruction, and a number of other charges. After two months in trial, the court threw out all of the serious charges, and three of the defendants pled guilty to weapons violations.

 

United States v. Clide Mays

Client was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute Drugs. After a trial, the client was found not guilty

 

United States v. Nagi, et al

Outcome: All Charges Were Dismissed

Description:  The government charged 93 members of the Highwaymen Motorcycle Club with Racketeering, Drug Trafficking and a number of other crimes. We were successful in getting all charges against our client dismissed.

 

United States v. Koubriti, et al

Practice Area: Criminal Defense

Date: September 02, 2004

Outcome: All Charges Were Dismissed

Description: The defendants were charged with Conspiring to Support Terrorism. This was the first terrorism trial in the United States after September 11, 2001. The defendants were originally convicted after a two month trial, but ultimately the conviction was set aside after the defendants proved government misconduct. The charges were dismissed, and the prosecuting attorney was charged with several federal felonies.
